Program Description

The Bachelor of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program at the Faculty of Language, Arts, and Culture, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, aims to produce graduates with a high level of competence in teaching Indonesian language and literature. This program provides in-depth knowledge in linguistics, literature, and pedagogy, preparing students to become professional and innovative educators. Through a comprehensive curriculum, students are equipped with skills in developing teaching materials, conducting research, and applying technology in education. Additionally, the program emphasizes character development, ethics, and cultural awareness, ensuring that graduates are not only proficient in teaching but also capable of promoting and preserving Indonesian language and literature in both local and global contexts. With the support of optimal facilities and academic guidance, students are expected to complete their studies on time.

Vision

The scholarly vision of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program at FBSB UNY is to develop the study of language, literature, and its pedagogy within the context of Indonesian culture.

Mission:

  1. To realize the capability of human resources with academic expertise in the fields of language, literature, and their pedagogy within the context of Indonesian culture.
  2. To conduct research in the fields of Indonesian language and literature, as well as their pedagogy.
  3. To engage in community service in the fields of Indonesian language and literature, as well as their pedagogy.
  4. To establish collaborations in the fields of language, literature, and their pedagogy within the context of Indonesian culture.
  5. To contribute regionally and internationally through research, community service, and collaborations in the fields of language, literature, and their pedagogy within the context of Indonesian culture.
